Seriously you only need 2 minutes of BG2 intro soundtrack and compare it with any of the songs in BG3 which doesn't even come close.
That said it is not bad, it is just not as good as BG2 (The bard song and down by the river are ok)
Then the game will not be a classic.
In terms of what Larian's produced I think I enjoyed DoS2's theme a bit more, but BG3's is still well done.
Pleasant surprises like the bard just breaking out in a cut scene of song, too.
I still hum the main menu music of BG in my head during regular normal day to day activities because it was so memorable and iconic.
All I remember about BG3 music is how I wish they would down-down-down-down down-load some new lyrics.
Recently I was travelling with Lae'Zel (she usually isn't even in my party but I had recently completed her companion quest) and I was taking in the scenery and when I walked to the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean and the forests and stuff the music just set the tone so well and then Lae'Zel said something like, "I don't normally stand around and appreciate a good view but... this is a rare exception"... and I just smiled for a moment while the music filled that stillness as I took in the visuals.
It was good $hit.
