The weird morality vacuum with the gith
Okay, I know the githyanki are one of the ultimate mary sue races in DnD lore, but this is getting a bit much.
Every single scene you see the githyanki in, they behave like complete and utter scum. They murder everyone and everything they see without provocation. They massacre an entire monastery because they want some real estate. They kill their own for the slightest mistake. They torture animals for fun.
This WOULD be fine... if the game would acknowledge it. But there is just no way to.

The whole githyanki creche scene is entirely surreal, we are visiting the site where a literal alien invading force destroyed a monastery of a good deity and murdered everyone in it and you don't even have the option to go "Man, ♥♥♥♥ these guys!"
The only way to do the morally just thing is to act stupid and show them the artifact which of course provokes the entire group of murderfrogs to atatck you on sight.

Really disappointed with this.

The Githyanki have been squatting on that monestary for a really long time already.

I don't think you get a dialogue option to say screw these guys, but you can be done with there ♥♥♥♥ and murder them at any given time, without giving them the artifact and have a few different ways to piss them off to the point of them trying to kill you.

the main objective at the creche is to get the worm out of your brain. there's also the fact that they essentially want to stop the absolute, which is why you could justify showing them the artifact.

the "man, ♥♥♥♥ these guys!" option would be just to kill them all? which i'm pretty sure you can do without initiating any dialogue. but i dont think that would make much sense without first getting as much information from them as possible.

Told them to go f**k them selves every chance I got, except the queen - mostly because that was an instant game over 😁 so I slaughtered all her people except the children and nursery

You can always draw your weapons and attack, and there are several opportunities to talk them down in the situations you're presented with. But the scenario is set up with the specific objective in mind that you're seeking assistance from them with your parasite problem, and they also oppose the Absolute and their lackeys.
When I was playing my thought was githyanki really are mean jerk faces so I decided to kill them all. Avoided Lae'zel the whole time and found her corpse on the ground in the shadow cursed lands lol

I would want interesting roleplay opinions instead of just a way to start killing - which is pretty easy already since they attack on sight if you want to cooperate with them openly.
It would at least be interesting in seeing how they see their actions and especially to see how Lae'zel would react to them.
As it is, even the goblins in act 1 are more sympathetic than the githyanki, you at least get some insight into their thinking process.
