War Priest extra attack does not stack with Extra attack passive from fighter/barb etc.?

So I just took a lvl of cleric for my monk and it seems does either we use our monk extra attack or use a war priest charge for an extra attack. But we cannot use both in one round? or am I missing something?

The War Cleric bonus attack takes a bonus action and has nothing to do with the normal Extra Attack feature most martials get at level 5. Monks already get a bonus action unarmed attack for free, so it does very little for them.

ah ok thanks. So it will still be useful to fighters and paladins by giving them third attack by using their bonus actions. :)
