When you make your life everything about conspiracies and everything and everyone being your enemy, you lose all rational thoughts and cant have critical thinking over the stuff in your daily life.

Then you start to jump into all sort of ludicrous conclusions. This is just a game and your taste about it will not affect your life in the slightest, but Im sad for you and your peers if you act like this irl about stuff around you.

Loviatar is not supposed to be held up as an example of great morality - but is not invented by Larian. It's a canonical deity in the setting, and both Loviatar and self flagellation have been mentioned in DND and other games in their settings before.
