Gale is a such terrible character for normal male player

even i play this game so happy but still sake of gale's conversation, i never took him out of camp, but he always want to have romantic with a male character over and over time, that make me feel gross..

Yes. The game forced me into a relationship with him although I did everything I could to romance Shadowheart.

The problem is the romance triggers are broken and even the normal/friendly dialogue options with Gale makes the game think you want to be his gay lover...

There is no way to have him as just a friend in your camp cause its broken.

Anyways, I posted a fix for the broken/unwanted romances in this thread here (which is being reported by a ton of people because apparently male players should not have a bug fix to avoid romances with male companions)

As a male player, I have to say Gale is my second favorite character after Karlach. He is smart, funny, friendly and serious when it comes to the problems you are facing.

So far, I had one conversation where I had to more or less explicitly tell him to drop it. Other than that, all you need to do is simply refrain from picking romantic options when you talk to him. Like, when he asks you to sit with him for a while, just shut up and watch the sunrise. If you are a straight male and you now Gale is into you, what kind of idiot do you have to be to start saying romantic stuff, right?

If you don't want to get it on with him, maybe you should stop flirting? I don't get why straight male players flirt with male companions and then complain about how they all want them? How hard is not flirting?

again i dont know why y'all think this is specific to straight men. he does the same thing if u play as a woman or non-binary. hes not into straight men hes into warm bodies lmao
