grymforge question
So I am in grymforge and im heading to kill nere , I have explosives to clear the rubble but the gnomes want me to get it off of phylomaine ? my question is .. since I cant long rest should i just skip going to phylomaine ? how will this affect the playthrough ? I havent killed the oozes yet and have expended maybe 30 percent of my spells.

Phylomaine gives you one copy and ONE ONLY runepowder its 10x if not double effect and area of damage than smokepowder bomb. Save it, cherish it and never use it.

Just use any smokepowder barrel you can find or just throw smokepowder bomb and kill some gnomes and create chaos or brute force break the rubble with pickaxe or blunt weapon.

to answer specifically your question. this npc and long rest have no relation, it has no impact other than you missing out on a potential hail mary item for a boss fight, Breaking vs not breaking out nere has so many different things happen it would probably be better to just do w/e you want and if you don't like it, reload or go on. the game is very "open" you can do things anyway you want there is no specific way to do most things, very few things require proper order.

be aware that nere might die while you long rest if you have triggerd the dialog to Save him. (if i recall you get a warning when trying to long rest)
