This game gives such a bad depiction to those with dark skin

So many of the more darker-skinned races are viewed in a bad light:

-The one black human on the team is a slave to a demoness, whom she constantly refers to him as her "pet".

-The Tieflings are constantly treated as useless and weak, not being given refuge by the mostly light-skinned druids and also left to be murdered on their way to Baldur's gate.

-The Drow are ALWAYS despised by the surface dwellers, nearly all of them are given positions of being the villain in the story. Whether it's Nere, Kar'niss or Minthara, who serves as the evil genocidal companion.

^Hell, even when she's free from manipulation she's still constantly rooting for you to do evil things and use the Elder Brain to rule over everyone.

-The Duergar dwarves are slavers that whip and beat the light-skinned gnomes, forcing them to clear the debris in the Underdark.

This game isn't woke, it's written by racist blokes.

Yeah you guys are quick to denounce lgbt representation being forced into a game.

However, if it's about painting a bad representation of dark-skinned people and keeping those with a lighter skin tone in a position of power and authority then suddenly it's time to turn a blind eye and not show any regard.

Tiefling's aren't dark skinned. They come in many different colours, moreso than humans. Some are good (overcoming their evil heritage), some are bad, some are strong, some are weak.

Is it being racist against white people then as well, because there are weak and evil white skinned characters? The main evil dudes in the game are all white!

And drow (dark elves) are indeed traditionally evil. Larian didn't invent drow. The creators of D&D did that, and they didn't really invent them, dark elves go way back to the days of Norse mythology.

In many mythologies many evil creates are dark skinned. No, not because of racism, but because they are associated with coming from dark places and the night... which just in case you never noticed, is dark. Night = dark = evil. This has been a trope of mythology since humans first created myths, and i'm pretty certain that holds true for Africans and other dark skinned people.

I dunno man. Nearly every race represents the full spectrum of color now so theres bound to be some happenstance where a person of color gets the bell-end of things. Even Larian can't cull that possibility out of the landscape without "breaking" narrative.

On the bright side I think i've only met like one white dude so far that was capable of fighting on his own without a strong female leadership. So progress is progress. Little by little we will eraaaseee themmmm

Points aren't needed when I've already got 200,000 of them. This a topic for justice and equality, something that's lost on a lot of people here who are more privileged clearly.
