I hope Larian makes Baldurs Gate 4.
Now that Larian likely has quite a bit of Ressources for the Next Project.
I hope they can make BG4 as a Giant Project featuring a much Bigger Map possibly including Both Baldurs Gate and Deepwater.
Have a higher lvl Cap of at least 16.
And a New Story to tell.
Maybe a few Years in the Future with some of the Origin Characters still around and Arabella maybe even being a potential Companion etc.

They made a True Baldurs Gate Game.
The Hater Trolls can go screw themselves if they want to deny this.

I went through BG2 several times and BG3 gives me the same vibes as Baldurs Gate 2 back in the Day. I will likely make at least 3-4 Playthroughs in BG3.
I have no Doubt they would make a Worthy 4th Part as well.

Wouldn't say no to BG4, but as I play I keep wanting Planescape Torment 2 from Larian.

I am 80% sure its Divinity 3 next. They said its coming but after a well deserved break. But before that I am hoping for BG 3 Definitive Edition with all the cut content

It'll be Divinity again.

Guaranteed.

I don't want them working on Divinity anymore. It's sort of a wash since both BG3 and DOS2 overlap each other as RPGs. Keep BG3 and continue with that. They need to make DLC for the first time and add it to BG3. They have an entire DnD universe by which to draw several epic stories.

BG4 should end up being designed like NWN. An open-world SP DnD game where you can allow mods to make their own campaigns in the world.

I hope not. BG doesn't need to be the COD of RPGs. The story was already done the last time around, this was just a money grab as it was. An incomplete, bug ridden, money grab.

I'm down for anything larian. More games using D&D would be incredible, but any CRPG im instantly sold on.

Don't know about BG4, but I'd love a Shadows of Undrentide style expansion.

Assuming there is actual Cut Content and what the Dataminers Found is not just leftovers of Bad Ideas that Larian dropped cause they would not have been useful for anything.

Like the supposed whole Avernus thing which would have basicly been a sidequest grind area for Soulcoins to Buy Magic Items.
Or the Upper City which would basicly just have been Mansions and Towers to Loot while maybe doing some Bounty Quests for Nobles.

People often think any Content left out is because they ran out of time.
But Dammon is in the City so if Larian had wanted to give Karlach a way to fix the Engine and had to Cut the Big quest they could have just put some Dialogue in that Dammon found a Solution which requires all 3 Infernal Iron or so and make it a mini Quest with minimal work.
Them not doing that Shows it was likely a Decision done for Drama/Tragedy Reasons rather than Cut Content.

Everything you said here is correct. It's similar to how people complain about how a story character behaves in a novel as though the author didn't think of doing something differently. Often, they did, they just chose to do this thing. Everything an artist includes wasn't accidentally put in there, it was done with intention.

Thats Bull.
In case You never knew this.
But Baldurs Gate is a City in the Forgotten Realms.
The 2 Games about Bhaalspawn which got named Baldurs Gate are just the most known because they were made into Games and thus defined the Name.
But there is a whole Bunch of Stories in this.
Elminster alone has a whole Series of Books just about his Adventures.

Realistically a BG4 is likely already on the table given the success BG3 has seen. However it's going to take a specific kind of developer to pull it off and Larian might not want to commit to BG4 given it's not an IP they own. It would be another multi-year commitment and their Divinity IP is primed for a new entry as is.

Maybe they can partner with other studios to pull off making BG4, but we're gonna be waiting for years either way.

Personally? I'd rather seem more BG3 content in some way, maybe in a Neverwinter Nights kind of module system.

Hell I'd be happy with a Temple of Elemental Evil remake focusing on more combat than story as a compromise till a more full features story driven campaign can be made.

Baldur's Gate isn't a story, it's a place. Just like how Neverwinter has had an OG MMO, an old Bioware adaptation, a newer MMORPG, and was featured in old TSR Gold Box games from the 90s. It's one of the major locations on the Sword Coast and all kinds of adventures happen there, with official campaign material often featuring one of these locations in them.

There's even a tabletop Baldur's Gate module in D&D called Descent into Avernus, which actually acts like something of a prequel to BG3 as it sets up why Karlach's whole backstory even exists.

Agreed, that would be beautiful to see.

Aye.
I mean dont get me wrong.
There might be Cut Content.
After all there is no way a Devteam ever gets to Implement everything they want.

But there being stuff that was supposed to be there and got Cut because they had to make the Deadline.
And there being stuff they would have wanted to do but which got dropped because it would have been another Year of Development for little gain.
Is two different things.
