Does your Patron speak to you?
Hello! I'm playing as a Warlock after listening to The Besties podcast and learning that, apparently, your patron should actually be interacting with you at some point. Is this true? When does it happen? Does it require a specific level? Because the reviewer that mentioned it made it sound like it happened on the ship, and this didn't happen with me.
(I think he may be confusing it with the Guardian).
Also, I've barely touched Act 2, so no spoilers, please?

Haven't noticed it talking either.

The patron does react in Act 2 when you encounter the Githyanki queen Vlaakith.

not really, the only is sometimes a dialogue option pops up something like your patron can help you in a situation but no conversation with it

My Archfey Patron has been amused by things but never specifically spoken.

I'm planning a GOO lock run embracing my tadpole to see what happens.

honestly i cant think of ANY Warlock dialog that felt GOO specific so far they all felt like generic warlock I KNOW ABOUT PACTS N ♥♥♥♥. hearing abou all the Archfey ones makes me kind of sad...(i mean maybe it's just cause a GOO is so... eldritch and strange? it just doesn't comment much idk lol) like i'd totally respec to archfey if i wasn't absolutely in love with the powerset of a GOO (so much fear :D... warlocks and lusting or power... who knew!)

You can plead your Patron to help you against Jaheira when she captures you in her vines and your patron just goes "I'll pretend I didnt see that"

Not as much as I'd hoped. Beyond the Dark Urge you don't get much interactivity with foreign entities as such in this regard.

A little disappointing.

Took some time but I'm starting to realize much of the dialog choices don't really amount to much other than fight or avoid fight. The class specific stuff just gives you better dice rolls on the fight or avoid fight options or bypasses the roll completely in some unique cases. If you go hard on the role playing aspect of it it's not a huge issue and I really enjoy the DM narrator's voice regardless. She did such an amazing job so it's cool hearing her narrate the choices.

I noticed this as well, switching between so many classes and characters as I have. So far, at least, my bard run has been the most amusing, and my time as the Dark Urge has provided some spice.

I'm honestly going to have a harder time not playing as The Dark Urge because of what it adds.

Okay, what is this GOO thing people keep mentioning? Is it Mindflayer/embracing the 'Pole related?
I chose the Old One because I thought it would be neat to have an Eldritch type in my head as the Dark Urge, and yet alas if they never speak to me...

I wanted so badly to play as The Dark Urge and have both the tadpole, the Guardian, his own violent thoughts, and a patron breathing down his neck while he's just, like, "I just want to eat my bagel, leave me alone."

Boo. Ah, well, this game has enough content as is, I'll get over it.

Same thing happens if you're a cleric to be fair. In fact if I remember Jaheira accuses you of lying about being a Cleric when you try because she believes you to be a slave to the Absolute.
