Textures Loading Too Slowly During Cutscenes. Way Too Slowly
Is there a way to make them load faster? half the textures in that first cutscene before beach were basically non-existent and many other barely loaded half way by the end of cutscene.
I can't install it on ssd (at least not in near future) nor upgrade memory.
Tried Slow HDD option but it didn't help at all. It's actually so bad that you can't even force yourself to enjoy it.

Havent seen a texture load so far at all. Im on a RTX 2080TI.
Ive seen what you mean in some videos but i have never seen any loading at all in my game.

Not sure, i have maximum settings on 2k resolution, installed on a SSD.

Tried the latest patch and lowering settings but nothing helped much.
Gonna defraggment the disk and move game to ssd in a few weeks time but sort of fear that won't help much either.

I do not think it runs well on a regular HD even with the slow HD option. I have some friends with older systems and even with lots of memory, lots of free drive space and the slow HD option checked running on DX11 and not Vulcan they say it is almost unplayable.

I know the latest update greatly improved my load times but I am running it on an SSD and 32GB of ram but they all say it still runs badly for them even after the patch. I think they should have made SSD a hard requirement because I have seen a lot of complaints about regular HD's running poorly.

Most of my friends are already shopping for SSD's because they are tired of the long load times and very bad looking cutscenes.

thanks for info. at least i know now that others with weaker lower memory rigs and hdd are getting texture lacking cutscenes too.
im gonna get another ssd soon (one i have now is too small and for windows mostly) but idk if it'll be much better since i only have 8GBs memory.
Can get close to semi stable 60 fps on max but texture and even assets loading is so so so bad to point you can't play it actually.
heard gog offers 30 day refunds so might just do that if ssd doesn't help.
guess i'll have to play it when i sell a kidney for a more today's day pc i guess unless i wonna watch almost texture-less like cutscenes :/
man... im so ♥♥♥♥♥ sad now. i love good stories, charatcers, dialogues and quests games like witcher 3 and this seemed of similar quality so i was so glad to start playing it but now..... F**k me i guess

Faster SSD... I run this from m2 ssd and it loads them fast... But it tells that there are quite a lot of stuff to be loaded. Seems almost a miracle that it runs from HD at all!

how much RAM u got tho? I've only 8

Your PC sucks. You either have to upgrade, learn to live with slow loading or stop playing until you upgrade. Those are your options.

no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock. however my pc still ran much better looking stuff far easier so that's why im asking here if the loading thing is rly that bad in bg3 and if it can be alliviated somehow

You can alleviate the issue by upgrading your PC.

no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock. u think i wouldnt have thought of that and done it by now if i could? sometimes there is a problem, memeory leak, bug, etc... or it can be alleviated with hdd option, defragmenting, sdd. so that's why i asked. however it seems futile

Focus more on upgrading your PC and less on complaining.

Game has SSD in minimum requirements. Almost necessary for modern games IME.

Played the EA with on an HDD, got slow texture loading. Bought an external SSD once the full game released (about £70/$50 for a quality terabyte drive), runs fine.
