Reliable "Guide" for beating all Cambions (Nautiloid)
Basically Title - i have seen many Videos on YT and so far i managed to beat all of them once, however most "Guides" involve a lot of save scumming.

Does anyone maybe have a reliable strategy?

EDIT: Thx @ all for the tips, appreciated but i gave up. After my 8th try i just wanna progress with the Story - i did it once with my paladin, was way easier. This time with my druid i had to give up.

The only reliable strategy is bless for the +1d4 to hit and saving throw and command to make the big guy drop his weapon. Other than that you just need to hope for the crits to be in your favor

Its not even about the Weapon from the Commander, mainly want all the loot from the other cambions - at least one of them has around 300G. But i thought so that this was my only chance to beat all Cambions, if Tentacle Guy would just use his AoE Stun then when all three are alined perfectly ...

I can tell you this, in the grand scheme of things, the only thing worth the headache in the Nautiloid is the commanders weapon, and that gets easily replaced by any decent +1 weapon later.

The Gold/EXP/Loot/etc for all the other enemies is NOT worth the headache of trying to get everything to go JUST RIGHT IMO...

Keep the mind flayer alive by disarming the commander and healing the mindflayer with thrown potions. Blessing it also helps a lot, as do spells like faerie fire which makes it much more accurate.

Overall 3 cambions seems SUPER rough on tactician, and I have only seen 1 person be able to do it, with an infinite magehand cheese that took hours to pull off.

Pick up the nautiloid purple boom boxes, there's 4 of them... can probably dish out some 40-50 hp aoe if you stack them, careful though since mobs will hit them as well.

I've never tried killing the cambions, but you can cut off the entrance by using one of the large chests and block the path. I also put a small chest infront just for measure.

Guess, spawn mage hand with Lae'Zel and have it throw stuff (bombs, weapons) for a tiny bit extra damage.

Loot all 4 nautiloid tanks, use command to make him drop sword, make sure Commander and Mindflayer dies the round before the Cambions are in range of the staircase by entrance.

The 4 nautiloid tanks are placed at the top of the stairs in the middle, use Shadowheart firebolt to blow them up and hope for the best. This is usually where I might save scum, if they pass all 4 saves they barely take any damage, if they fail all 4 saves they die in 1-2 hits from lae'zel with greatsword.

Bless is near mandatory, cast it once outside of the fight room then use heal pod and go inside, Command for drop, wait for cambions and then bless again. Us the intellect devourer can make a massive difference as well.

But in the end, expect to save scum, especially if you do it on balanced/tactician. It's a very tight fight and needs very specific damage.

This method works but is pure suffering.
