Unable to access saved games
So i started playing august 23rd...and now i cant play today. The saved file is there screen shot and character name and all. I have reset my cpu, ticked both cloud saves on and off, whitelisted the game for windows defender, and checked the files integrity. Nothing has fixed it...help me you are my only hope!

Yup, I have reset it. Turned it off for a few hours and then logged back on and nothing. It cant be the hotfix because i played and started it after it was reverted. I have the save file in the app data but it still doesn't read it.

lol

I should have commented 10 hours ago. I remember this now. Thought "it would be okay".

Go, restart your PC and try again.

RESTART YOUR PC

Shut down is not sufficient.

I restarted it and redownloaded the game. I never knew you could even upload screenshots lol
What's with all the restart computer thingsmagics???

Most straight forward use Steam Library's verify local file integrity and that will redownloads missing files, replace corrupted files, etc. If you ever access local save file direct root to delete save cache, remember don't delete the most recent folder.

It is the easiest way to deal with the ongoing Windows process which causes the debug profile to load and hide your savegame, whenever it happens.

Without the need to explain it to those who just want to get it running again, and not to learn how their OS works.

I was almost heading to bed. But I will wait a few more minutes for you, hopefully solving the issue for you in a jiffy.

Alright. If it is the issue which I suspected first, then you should be able to solve it using the first two sections of this guide after the foreword

The only thing which speaks against that suspicion, is when you wrote that you did restart your PC and it still does not show up. Hence the check for PlayersProfile folder after checking that the savegame is in the correct place.

The good news is: your issue is definitely solvable since you still have the savegame. Just need to check where you missed with the steps or whether it is a bigger issue.

I wish you good luck!
