Why does Karlach want me to save Nere?

Nere enslaves gnomes which Karlach is against but wants me to side with him against the dueguards. Why??? Can someone explain this to me? If i side with the rebels and try to free the gnomes for the flower people, karlach gets upset.

If i choose to side with nere karlach dissaprove. If i choose to side with rebels karlach disapproves. if i say nothing which sides with rebels she doesnt approve or disapprove. This must be a glitch right? Why would she approve of me telling nere no more killing innocent gnomes but dissaprove of me going against him in the next dialogue.

Good question, I didn't really understand why either. I suspect it's a bug or she somehow got stockholm syndrome with the enslavers. On mine it also said I was an enemy of justice for siding with the mutineers.

Maybe her brain is part of the content that was cut from the game before release? XD

It's not so much saving Nere so much as saving the gnomes trapped with him, and acknowledging that if we don't get him out the dueregar will execute all the gnomes outside.

Basically, he's a means to an end to save the gnomes. You can attack and kill him after he's free and she's fine with it.

by rebels im assuming u mean the duergar slavers? this doesnt sound like a glitch, it sounds like she doesnt like u siding with any slavers for any reason, but not doing that is a neutral position she doesnt care abt. the approval system doesnt account for u backstabbing the slavers since i dont think thats a convo u get to have with ur companions. this is one where i figured i should just roll with the disapproval since either way its easier than taking on both groups at once, and i dont think its a huge loss.

IMO this is a glitch. I think karlach and minthara have a few moments where they might have put a minus instead of a plus.

Bbut the weird part is if i say nothing they fight anyways and we default back up the rebels which is the same outcome :/

She hate slavers period and only wants to save the gnomes so she disapproves of picking either side, she in fact realistic wants every single person there dead except for the gnomes because they are all slavers. So yes choosing to side with either option of bad guy she will disapprove of. I cant say as to all the character writing since I have not finished the game but the game dose try and make the companion approval system make sense for there personalities so yes the women who was a slave of a devil for a decade hates ALL slavers.
