online coop at high ping

i wanted to play this online with a friend but it'd be at around 130ms ping and i was wondering if anyone had tried playing it online at a higher ping and if it worked okay

I'd assume you'd have some latency with inputs. But otherwise I don't see where there'd be any other issues. This isn't an always online game so you aren't exactly fighting for server space.

ive had trouble in the past with non-online games where the online wasnt optimized for long range play, and there would be packet loss at longer distances

I played Larian's previous game, Divinity Original Sin 2, with a friend from Wales and I'm in Texas. I don't think long distance would be an issue. At least not in my experience.

not in bg3, but it was fine in divinity original sin 2 which i have played some with him, but DOS2 seems to have a bit of a different system than bg3 so idk if you could trust that to base bg3 online with
