In BG3, you get somewhat short animation (which from what I understand is almost the same regardless of the choices you make through the campaign), few lines from all companions (that do not really say anything) and Withers his few lines about TD3 (actually best part of what we got). That's it...
Similarly, game doesn't even reflect those, more ephemeral, choices. My character did not use Tadpole in conversations (only thing I got was this arcane 30 check reward from creche, mostly because I thought it will tell me some interesting piece of story (and I rolled 20 first time), not that it gives me some power I will never use (and which sounds ridiculously OP). Nothing of this is reflected in the ending...
I hope they'll address this in Definitive Edition, as well as other weird things in story (like situation in the Artifact. Tentacle dude just leaves, doesn't even wait for prince (or me) to say anything (why exactly does he needs to eat princes brain and even if so, why didn't he do it before the game starts, which would made more sense (i.e. so he could provide the protection)) ... which is completely bizarre, because it would seem that everybody has the same goal (stop the brain) and thus enemy of my enemy... and yet, one tentacle dude is required to end the game (I wish there was some tentacle dude that wants to stop the brain as well, so we could ask him ... oh wait).
Ending was alright tbf not the best defo could have had a little more but things were rounded off for various party members and there are some choices you can make at the end but I think the way the ending is done it's not an ending more like a beginning of new adventures for everybody hence the way things are capped off for everyone.
No, not novel length, what PF: WotR did would be enough for me, but we didn't even got that.
That was before the last minute content cut.
facts its like a girl jerkin you and won't let you nut. it'll sour the experience to say the least.
You cant` be freinds with mighty Kehtric Thorn.
Lore wise not possible.
That's not it, I had the same and I did finish all quests (except Investigate fireworks shop) and it was exactly that. Astarion is prime example: he says like 2 or 3 lines and runs away with sunburn ... so did he go back to Underdark? Did he stay in BG? Also why did it take ages for the sun to affect him (as there seems to be quite long time between tadpoles being gone and the scene on piers).
it would be great.
Feels almost like Mass Effect 3, same slap in the face.
there ya go:
