Neverwinter nights 1 and 2 max level 40, BG3 max level 12, what a joke
Neverwinter nights 1 + expansions = max lvl 40. At the end of the game main character becomes stronger than Maphistopheles

Neverwinter nights 2 + expansion = max lvl 30. At the end of the game main character becomes stronger than kelemvor

Baldur's gate 3 = max lvl 12. At the end of the game main character remains a ♥♥♥♥♥ because he/she remains stuck at lvl 12. What a joke.

So all those people that is defending Bg3 max lvl 12, go back and play Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 + all the expansions.

Actual D&D tabletop, depending on setting and edition, max levels : 12, 17, 22.

Maybe you should realize that Neverwinter isn't faithful but only inspired by D&D rule set and is more a kin to WoW ? And that the BG games have always tried to be actually faithful to the D&D tabletop rules ?

Nobody cares. Keep remaining at lvl 12 while I achieve godhood in Neverwinter nights 1 and 2.

Well the OP isn't wrong . If you had to click reply just to say blocked... you seem like the one with the problem.

I am talking about the singleplayer games Neverwinter nights 1 and 2 made by Bioware back in 2002 and Obsidian entertainment in 2006 respectively, not the mmo Neverwinter.

I'd like few more extra levels tbh, but I'm also okay with 12. Not sure why people are so dramatic and upset about it. Must be nice to be upset over such trivial things. BG1 btw max lvl was 8(if you had all companions because of shared xp), you didn't include that one, did you OP?

What does that matter ? There is not a single dnd game released on PC or console that is 100% following the book its impossible.

Its also NOT A GOOD THING SO PNP IS NOT ALL THAT GREAT WHICH IS CLEAR WHEN YOU TRANSLATE IT INTO A VIDEO GAME.

Its not only NWN either its a ton of other dnd games.

Baldurs Gate 1 and 2... same thing. You can get to level 40 your characters become immensely OP and you know what.... PLAYERS LOVED IT.
Pathfinder.... AMAZING GAMES.
Icewindale1&2 AMAZING GAMES

Now I still like BG3 so far. But stop being delusional about history of dnd games.

curiously you don't mention the cap of bg1, who knows why...
Nozarashi Aug 24, 2023 @ 5:54am
Solutions:
1 - download mods to increase level cap and have fun
2 - learn how to play and have fun - game is very easy and more level just became faceroll
3 - dont compare, thats the actual game embrace it and have fun
4 - play with friends and do stupid troll stuff and have fun
5 - unistall and go back and play Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 + all the expansions and have fun
6 - sometimes just need to take a break

It's still a bait thread at it's core.

Errr no? BG1, especially... There was a soft lvl cap. And Solasta was level capped at 12 originally, they recently expanded the levels with an expansion back. Don't lie :)

Well both original campaigns were 20 max and you still ended up around 15-17 when you finish the campaign, depending on the race. First expansion for NwN1 was also 20 and you ended around 15-17, depending on your race. NwN1 second expansion assumed you imported character from previous campaign and was balanced around those high levels.

And becides why limit yourself to 40, you could quite easily reach 160 with slight tweak to the files!

I personally forget but its does not really make a difference though does it?
Its probably between 10-14 depending on your class. Thiefs need less experience I remember.

But I remember my dua class bezerker 7/mage9.

So I will guess a bezerker prob capped at 9 or 10.

Again though in SoD capp increases to 500k which is usually another 2 levels

BG2 is where its like baloons out to get to 31 for mages/sorcerors and 40 for fighters and rogues

I am not the one complaining either.

I just hope they add more content and then increase the level cap in future.

..... base game BG you can get 12, with expansion the soft cap is 22. The highest anyone has ever gotten on record that i'm aware of is 24, and that's by cheesing alot. (because it's not that you cannot get a higher level, it's that you run out of sources of exp....)

Also, i'm not even going to bother what attempting to being faithful means vs just losely inspired. Clearly with the aggressive tone you take you have no actual desire in a honest argument, you just want to shout and feel superior and be right.

But please do continue to lecture me on a games series I have 3000+ hours in.....
