clarify with Callous Glow ring mechanics please
Uncommon ring that has ability Callous Glow:
The wearer deals an additional 2 points of damage against creatures that are illuminated.

- How it really works?
- Are humanoids counting as creatures?
- Are my foes illuminated if I am using Nyrulna trident?
https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Nyrulna

I dont see +2 anywhere in my combat feed

The damage aplies to everything, humanoide, animal, construct, everything, the enemy Just have to be lighted, daylight spell Works wonders for the melees to proc the ring and guarantee its damage all the time. The nyrulna If i'm not mistaken does't have a light sorce like the blood of lathander does, but again, daylight spell does wonders and is a huge area of effect

I'm pretty sure the OP isn't still waiting for clarification from August 2023.

Anyway, I'm not certain, but I think the extra +2 points is of the "radiant" damage type.

All it is, is if the target is not in shadow / obscured in any way.

This is the logic of it.
IF(HasObscuredState(ObscuredState.Clear, context.Target)):DamageBonus(2, Radiant)

Hey, thanks for confirming the "radiant" damage type.

Use Light instead of Daylight that way you do not burn a Spellslot. Only time you'd ever wanna burn the Spellslot for Daylight is when fighting against enemies with Sunlight Sensitivity.
