Anyway, I'm not certain, but I think the extra +2 points is of the "radiant" damage type.
This is the logic of it.
IF(HasObscuredState(ObscuredState.Clear, context.Target)):DamageBonus(2, Radiant)
Use Light instead of Daylight that way you do not burn a Spellslot. Only time you'd ever wanna burn the Spellslot for Daylight is when fighting against enemies with Sunlight Sensitivity.
