Peculiar Clothing Chest........... has become very peculiar and very frustrating.

I use this chest to store all my magical/rare/etc, armour in.
I stored the actual chest in my travellers chest at camp.

Now when I right click on it I get no sub menu to open it. Nothing.
So now I have a chest full of magical armour and no way to open it.

Is this a known bug?

I've used every character in camp to take the Peculiar Clothing Chest out from the traveller chest. When it goes in their inventory they still cannot open it.
I drop it on the ground and it just disappears!
I take it out from the travellers chest and put it back in and nothing changes. Still can't open it.
I've gone back to my earliest save, some 10 hours ago, and the same thing is happening.

Basically I have all my magic gear stored in a chest I cannot get into.

this happened to me in the backpack where I kept the bonus dlc items, you have to make sure you start the game from steam, trying to open the game or launcher directly from outside steam seems to cause this bug
That's how it happened to me, maybe it's different there, but try closing and opening it that way, at some point my backpack debugged and I got my items back.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have always started the game from Steam so that isn't the case for me. :(

EDIT:
This is a definite bug.
I went from Vulkan to DX11 just for a test.
Doing that allowed me to get the drop down menu and to open it, but when I tried to remove one item, all of the items just completely disappeared.
Sent bug report to Larian.

This is exactly the thread I was hoping to find, because I am in the exact same situation as OP. I've always used this chest to store my spare gear, and this is the first time I've encountered this bug. So while I unfortunately don't have a solution for OP, it's nice to at least know that my exact issue is known and reported. Good luck OP. May our items be one day (soon!) unlocked!
