Shadowheart Light or Darkness?
I just defeated Balthezar and I am wondering whether or not it is worth it to save scum until I convince Shadowheart to not become a Justiciar. What are the benefits of making her worship Selune and will it affect her character arc positively?

Selunite is positivity and Shar is negativity. Simple as that.

And no Balthezarr has nothing do with neither, just kill that old fart

Only good thing about Balthazar are his mannerisms when he speaks, his voice actor and his rather unique model with the facial flesh engravings. He got nothing to do with Shadowheart directly though. Indirectly if you work with him, yes.

But as you've killed him it don't matter.

If she likes you enough, you can convince her without any check, because yes, returning to selune is ABSOLUTELY a positive both for her and her arc.

She can make the decision on her own, you won't need to convince her. The die roll is a 30 which is ridiculous and if you lose you'll have a bad outcome. Supposedly, your alignment will determine her own choice. She chose Selune for me, which I wanted. Next I'll go evil alignment hopefully she'll choose Shar.

I do not know what would happen if she'll chose Shar (since I've got on my 1st playthrough her to do not kill Nightsong) but I suspect that her personal quest would just end there since she fulfilled the prophecy and achieved her biggest dream (and here goes comment about "be careful of what you wish for")

If she would go for Selune side of the things there is a quite predictable turn of the events (I suspected this would be the case since she shared the childhood memory with the character) and her personal quest would continue.

It does not just end there ;) either way. No spoilers though.

Selunite for good. Shar for evil.

Selune is about love and compassion and all that usual crap. Shar is about accepting an S goddess and embracing the M within you.

Nope. It doesn't end there of course. The same general questline will happen, just with different dialogues and results.
