How soon before someone remakes Baldurs Gate I and II?

They already have the enhanced additions that work on all current Systems, and honestly they still hold up well enough. However I will say that if BG2 was remade with current tech/graphics I'd probably buy it.

In the same fidelity as BG3 I think it would be pretty impossible. Atleast BG2. It's a much larger game than BG3.
