Was anyone else thrown off when Raphael turned the fight with him into a musical? Do you think he's just really into showtunes or what was the deal with that?

I enjoyed the song.
I also enjoyed trowing raphael into the chasm.
I was a tiny bit anoyed i could kill flying creatures by trowing them into a pit but raphael is suchs a pain to fight i enjoy one shotting him using cheese.

I just think it's really funny to imagine him suddenly bursting into song as soon as the fight starts. I assume this is canonically what happens and the engine just wasn't able to show it visually.

It was amazing. When the song started I went, "all right, this is standard faire for a boss fight in hell" then when he started singing I lost it lol. It's very Disney-villain-esque but it certainly fits.

Definitely one of the highlights of the game for me.

This. It made the entire fight memorable. It was as legendary as One Winged Angel playing during Sephiroth's battle.
