How to turn off simulanous turn combat in coop mode
In Sin of Divinity, in coop mode, in a turn, only one player was playing, there was a sequence determined by initiative. Now, in BG3, we are 4 human players and we can attack and move simultaneous. It is awfull ! Is there an option to come back to real turn based combat ? If not, it is an urgent need for coop gaming.

You don't.

It was made this way to help players and speed up combat.

The only way to turn it off is to mod it.

If you're playing with people you know, you can just...communicate with them and determine who is going to do what during those simultaneous turns.

Communicate with other players? Or you can just increase Dexterity/Initiative, as game rolls on start of fight and decides who is doing action in what order (yes, you can have only 1 person taking action at time then)

This is a fact of even singleplayer, really. Your characters lump together in initiative values and end up going at the same time, so you can click character portraits at the stop and swap between different characters at the same initiative. This actually lets you tactically make decisions that a strict initiative order wouldn't allow. I guess COOP just uses this fact even better.

Wow! I bet a lot of people didn't realize this, me included.

We have made SD1 and SD2, the same 4 guyes team. We are playing together from more thant 20 years. This is really a very bad choice ! Combats are a mess
A good team adapts. Adapt.
Before people move, it's not hard to discuss a strategy, if a strategy is necessary.

ex;
"I am going to throw the enemy off the cliff so don't attack him"
"I am going to throw a potion of healing, don't use a healing spell"
"I am going to threaten him, don't move him, or if you do, move him before I approach"

Etc.
Just communicate, should be easy after 20 years, right?

Not so easy ;-)

Really wish that was an option or the UI made it more clear somehow when two player are in the same "turn". Even just playing with my brother and communicating there a few times we ended up playing at the same time and screwing things up for one of us or wasting an attack on a dude that either of us could have finished alone.

So annoying how some people are against such basic improvement that they could just ignore if they don't want it.

i mean, in D&D its generally a thing dms can do when their enemies all have the same ininative (or even if they rolled 1 for the pack), i see no reason why it cannot be used by players too.

honestly just talk it out.

to be fair, in the turn order it shows all your square as equal size, with a ^ arrow denoting who has actions.

This is an awful feature that needs an option box to turn off. I play multiplayer melee, move up to mob, use bonus action to improve attack, Then mob explodes. Archer or warlock has nailed it wasting my turn. Happens all the time.

There is a toggle option. Its called communication

We're going into 2024, communication is pretty much a dead art form.

It's all brainrot inducing TikTok dances and Reddit speak these days, -consults translation guide- "fr fr no cap".
