She has an interesting quest but you can kill her without any downsides.
All companions execpt gale can be murder and all you miss is there personal questline.
And gale you only cannot murder because he is a nuke.
And several other v.i.p of the story is related to her race.
So she adds a lot of dialog to the game.
She and shadowheart have the most story related elements.
I hear that unless your a githyanki the creche wont even talk to you
Know act 1 far better than is good for me, I mostly bypass her and the rogue to get the barbarian and warlock + cleric combo, and reroll those to suit me.
As for this.. her race was enslaved.. they revoted against their masters and now seek to protect all the realms from the mind flayers.. for little to no thanks.. I'd expect them to be a little condescending and xenophobic.. I'd be the same myself I think.
And it'll be Shadowheart who starts the next fight.. with Lae'zel... so who is the xenophobe now..
The factors that determine who Orin kidnaps are not clear, but it's certainly not always Lae'zel. For me, it was Halsin. One rumor is that it's the least used character, but in that case it should have been Astarion for me.
As lea'zal was my second most used party member.
Only Shadowheart was more valueable.
The game chooses a party member with the lowest relations to you between Laez'el, Gale and Halsin.
If all three of them are dead or in your Party, then Orin will kidnap Yenna from your camp. If she is not there, then Orin will kidnap one of your pets if I remember correctly.
But regardless whether she kidnaps one of your pets or Yenna, Orin will take one of your pets between Grub the Cat, Scratch or the Owlbear Cub and roast it on a spit in the Temple of Bhaal . Thought if she takes one of your party members, then this will not happen.
I suppose this is a slap on the wrist by Larian for trying to be selfish and not sacrifice a companion?
