Saving Karlach

[Warlock of the Wi-Fi]

I'm in act 2 and learned about Karlach's problem with the engine and I want to save her and get a good ending for her since shes my favorite NPC. Is there something I should actively be doing or looking for to fix it or will I be prompted with a solution later on.

FYI I don't want spoilers for her ending just a heads up about if I should be doing something about it.

You can fix her heart engine in Act II by providing Infernal Iron to the blacksmith at Last Light, which leads her story over to Act III. Without spoilers etc, make sure you tie up companion quests, which will set the stage for some manner of meaningful closure.

You start it in Act one and you can continue it with Act two. Not sure if the Act one part is completely needed since I always just go it in Act one and talk to Dammon.

Ive already got the 2 upgrades for her Im just worried about her having to go back to hell or explode.
