You're absolutely wrong about that, too. It's one of the things they *didn't* change.
In fact, BG3 is *more* generous about multiclassing in genereal, between ignoring minimum stat requirements, letting Extra Attack stack.
The only exception to this is fighters who get an extra feat at level 6 fighter so a full level 12 fighter gets 4 feats instead of 3.
The game doesn't go that far, but fighters would get an extra feat/ASI at 14 if it did.
