[Question] Monks have 3 attacks at level 5?
Hello,

I have a question about Monks.

At level 1, they get "Martial Arts: Bonus Unarmed Strike" : https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Martial+Arts+Bonus+Unarmed+Strike
After making an attack with a Monk Weapon or while unarmed, you can make another unarmed attack as a bonus action.

At level 5, they get "Extra Attack" : https://baldursgate3.wiki.fextralife.com/Extra+Attack
Can make an additional free attack after making an unarmed or weapon attack.

Do they stack?
Can a monk make 3 unarmed attacks at level 5?

Thanks for your help :)

Punch twice as an action
Punch 2 more times with flurry of blows
4 attacks.

Problem: you only have one bonus action by default.
Never mind.

not a problem since extra attack gives you two attacks as one action, and flurry gives you two attacks as one bonus action. the flurry replaces the martial arts bonus action attack.

My mistake. I misread that as "use flurry of blows twice".

I was playing around with a monk earlier and this didn't seem to work for me. Both of my attacks triggered the option for the followup bonus action melee attack, but the second one couldn't be made due to not having a bonus action anymore.

edit: nevermind. I see it now. A single flurry of blows actions includes both attacks at once.

Martial arts is different to flurry of blows, if you take your one extra martial arts attack you can't take your two extra flurry of blows attacks (Though martial arts is free and flurry costs ki points)

A Monk/Thief is permitted to double flurry of blows if you need six attacks in a round.
