none. you're supposed to use an owlbear egg instead to satisfy the woman seeking a gith egg. she agrees she can put one over on the society with it. there is no reason to keep a gith egg, you risked a lot to steal a child, unfortunately.

Save it for ACT 3, will have a chance to give it someone

I really didn't risk much at all honestly

I don't have an owlbear egg.... I was hoping maybe after a time the egg will hatch and I can raise a Gith child bit I guess that is not a thing.

OK will do

Do you get anything nice for doing that?

Yes

If you give her the egg, the child hatches and is raised by the society of brilliance. However their surrogate parents ♥♥♥♥ up and make the kid OVERZELOUSLY lawful good, to the point where even the remotest of violations of the ptarian code is met by punishment from the kid. He ends up being a SUPERPRODIGY, and eventually, after too many violations of his overzelous perspective of lawful good, he kills them.

When you meet him, he's basically a teenager, having grown to that size in just a few weeks, and you can explain to him that he's on the wrong path.

If anything else comes of it, I don't know. Probably not.

But yes, it has a resolution, a bloody one, and the kid could probably solo the absolute, actually byfar the most stacked statblock I have seen on any creature sofar.

Nothing I noticed. You get payed and that's the end of it.

I had to fight my way out so I just took out the whole complex. Grabbed the egg rp wise it would not have survived in that circumstance anyway and was already having issues if you talk to the caretaker. You can also convince the caretaker to let you take it oddly enough.

Sadly keeping it does nothing and there is no mention of it in the ending.
I see... What a bummer

Yeah because the caretaker knows the egg is practically doomed, that it'll be destroyed for not hatching in time. Might as well give it to the istik. Least then it has a *chance*.

I gave her the owlbear egg convincing her it was a gith egg. Good joke I thought.

Then foughht my way out because their queen was fugly and turned out they had some fine loot.

My character might be a monk, but no one claims he's a good monk.

Hey whoever comes across this from google like I had earlier. I guess they patched it or it was missed by the previous commenters. I kept the egg as a role playing choice and didn’t give it to the woman. Instead I gave it to lae’zel to just keep in her inventory. During Act 3 I had unique dialogue options at camp with Lae’zel where she talks about the egg. I haven’t beaten the game yet so I don’t know what ultimately happens, but I think it’s already worth it to keep it instead of giving it to the shifty lady. I left her in the forest after stealing all her things (took a few attempts running away back to camp after each unsuccessful pick pocket like bandits. LOL)
