Just me or seem like Ketheric had poor voice acting?

Gortash's act feels somewhat underwhelming to me. I'm grappling with whether I should view him as a character akin to Joffrey Baratheon or Littlefinger. It's my wish that his voice had a touch more edge. Lord Enver Gortash's tone just comes across as a tad too innocent for my liking

I think it was JK Simmons not doing what he does best, which is to yell at people. I thought it sounded out of place but I knew it was him which might have impacted my expectations. Also I think there is something funky with the sound mix.

Ok for some reason I found the actual voice acted dialogue to be underwhelming in the game compared to the reveal trailer they put out before release. Although the voice actor behind him is supposed to be really good, for some reason I guess I expected more/better dialogue from Thorm during the game. It was disappointing compared to the initial hype.

I don't think it was the VA's fault though, whoever choose / wrote the dialogue. Maybe they also could have gone deeper in Act 2 with more of his back story etc, felt like they slightly rushed it or skimped on budget so they didn't have to pay the VA too much for more lines/dialogue.

Maybe they should have chosen a less famous VA and rather had more dialogue voiced out rather than running out of budget for it.

Every single NPC in this game is voice acted. Even in Baldur's Gate. I've never played a game with more lines of voice acting dialogue.

You're really out of the loop on the dialogue around this game.

See I kind of disagree, I thought he did pretty well with what he was given. I mean it's not his usual style but Thorm had a certain "High-Fantasy Omni-Man" thing going on for me and I loved it.

It didn't help that they kind of got lazy on the SFX so it completely didn't match the environment he was talking in. Windy top of a castle with magic flying about? Silent as a recording booth.

You basically just outed yourself as a person with bad taste.

Jokes aside: He's voiced by J.K. Simmons and his surprisingly calm voice fits perfectly for a emmisary of ... well you know who (don't wanna spoil).

He may be great in other projects and some of his lines are well delivered, but I am of the same opinion. He sounds really bored/uninteresting with most of his dialogue.

To me the delivery also didnt really seem to fit. Especially during the scene at the end of act 2 with orin and gortash , the contrast seemed really big. Not that the voice actor is bad per se, it just seemed off here and not memorable as particularly amazing.

I liked him, just wish his character had some slight presence in act 1 besides the one vision.
