Cant even start the game

Anyone else having issues with this? I tried a fresh install and nothing. The launcher wont even start.

Just double checked and no. What gets me is the launcher starts with D2 and not this. That tells me its the game files and not my pc but I also did a fresh install. I assume others can play so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Go into your Steam\steamapps\common\Baldur's Gate 3\DotNetCore folder and run the executable in there.

Alternatively, skip the launcher entirely. In the Baldur's Gate 3\bin folder, the bg3.exe is the Vulkan version, and bg3_dx11.exe is the DirectX version.

If you have trouble with Vulkan, run DirectX.

antivirus blocking? try launching as administrator. drivers updated? windows updated?

All checked and nada. I'm trying another fresh install as a hail mary but I think I'm just stuck until release and hoping for the best.

so when you click play in steam lib does the play button register, as in trying to launch game after a while nothing happens the button returns to "play" state?
properties- launch options '--skip-launcher' skips the launcher as well.

Used any mods in the past? Might be files left behind causing problems.

The fresh install worked this time. I don't know why, i don't know how and honestly at this point I'm too exhausted to care. Thanks for the help everyone.
