How tf am I supposed to figure out some of this stuff...Act 3 spoilers
1. Save the Duke...how the hell am I supposed to know to go to this completely random Iron Throne area?

2. Temple of Bhaal...I find it somewhat easily but it gives me no real indication of what I need to pass. Ofc I look it up and it makes sense, but solving a murder is the way to get in? Ok.

There are more but this is most recent.

[Clearly I'm new to Larian games and mad cuz bad, but it's ruining the rest of the game!]

Do you know that if you explore and progress through quests you learn the answer to literally any question you have?

1. Mizora will tell you his location if Wyll decides to save him and became her slave

2. Orin pointed me there after dealing with Gortash first.

Outside of this scenarios I guess you just stumble there randomly or after watching some youtube video. Meta knowledge mostly when you know things beforehand.

Game has been rushed and this mess is just random bullisht here and there, don't give it much thought.

I get your pain. I made the mistake of running around like a boar on fire when I arrived to Act 3. I skipped stuff, went deep, started questlines and got so mixed up and confused.

Best advice, when you arrive at Act 3, creep along, go into each house and talk, when you get a quest, follow it till it ends or you have to do something else later.

As for the Iron Throne underwater area, if you deal with the squatters in the first house, you'll learn about a fireworks shop. If you track the fireworks, youll see something about donations to the refugees was sabotagued with explosives. If you confront the guy who donated those explosive trapped containers, he will tell you about the fireworks shop "special area". If you go to the fireworks shop and use the code you were given to get to the special area, you'll find some cultists talking about sending explosives to the underwater prison to rig it for blowing up if Gortash calls for that measure. Then you explore around and find out there is no way to get to the underwater area, not even with the sea temple goddess helping, but then someone talks about a metal fish that killed the girl that they are having a funeral for. If you explore around you'll find out the fishermen snagged a line on a metal fish (turns out to be a submarine ran by a dwarf engineer). You find access to this sub, then convince the engineer to pilot it to the underwater prison. Somewhere along this path, you'll also find out that Duke Ravenguard is being held in an inaccessible prison. So when you put those 2 together you find Duke in the Iron Throne underwater prison, use the submarine to get there, and then Gortash confronts you, so you either turn back and maintain relations with Gortash, or you press ahead and make him hostile. He remote detonates the explosives that were planted and you have a limited time to rescue the prisoners at the Iron Throne.
Agreed on #2, it’s insane that Larian expects us to deduce that entry to the god of murder’s temple is connected to a quest investigating murders

you explore the map without the game telling you every single solitary step?

Finding the under city was a nightmare lost an hour, then googled it.

all you need to do is talk to the people at the seas goddess temple, which should be done regardless of whether there is a quest marker on them or not. then you can find a hatch in the giant circle the game does mark for you. it's called exploring.

You pay attention. One quest leads to you one group, which leads you to a larger area, which leads you to the Iron Throne. That's if you don't happen on how to get there on your own beforehand.

Ok OK you got me with #2. But #1 all I have is "Rescue the Duke".
Arngrim Aug 22, 2023 @ 2:45pm
For the iron throne, there are more than one way.
You can get a quest from the sea worshipers that´s about finding the sub.
That´s how I found it first time.
