Utterly lost - Gauntlet of Shar (spoilers)

Hi all,

I'm stuck in the Gauntlet of Shar - help pls!

I've done the 4 trials with Shadowheart, got the Dark Justiciar gear and Spear, too. I have two Umbral Gems placed on the circular, runed altar (Pedestal of Reckoning) and the other two in my bag.

I have also killed Yurgir and as far as I can tell there's not a living (or unliving) soul left moving in the area. Yet I cannot proceed or activate the moving platform. No matter what I do at the altar or with the Traversal Gem, nothing happens and I can't reach the Inner Sanctum. Balthazar is also telling me to "clear the way".

The quest log says "we need to clear the way to the Inner Sanctum" but there are no mobs left to kill.

What am I missing...?

One last trial, sounds like you're missing the library. Think it had an elevator.

Wait my bad, cuz that has the spear. But yeah there should be 5 total, maybe it's the one by the entry?

iirc altar need 3 gems platform need 1,u need 4 total gems 3 from trials 1 from yurgir library dont give gem

you need to click to the pink losange on the right on the platform to activate it

this quest is bugged.. i get 4 gems & still magically come up 1 short.. got to this point on more than 1 game... same problem.. a gem short

what for ure short 3 for altar 1 for platform its just 4 gems no more no less...

You will have 3 gems left in your bag after you put one in for the elevator.
The elevator is bugged, i made a topic a few days ago. There is also topics on reddit.
How i fixed it? Not sure. Tried a number of things.

From runing on and off the platform. To going into TBS mode to changing camera positions.
Somehow in the end after walking back on the platform, it let me click on the purple light to make it go down.

The platform itself has 2 lights, left and right. They weren't clickable for me to make it work.
The only one that worked was the middle one that called it up.

As for missing gems.
Just recheck all 3 trials, 1 umbral gem at the end of all. In either a chest or just a pedestal.
The last gem is in the room with the Boss Yurgir. Not on any body.

can be this sometimes cursor positioning matters alot ,camera in this game and clicking spots on machines ,loot etc is really garbage in this game

Well, I'll be damned... I missed the gem at Yurgir. Theoretically, this shouldn't have stopped me from descending to the Inner Sanctum, since it's the lower altar that requires three gems. Besides, getting the gem didn't solve the transporter issue, I still couldn't move the disc.

I had to exit to an Act 1 area (took the opportunity to trade at the druid grove), went to camp, took a long rest, returned to the Gauntlet and had Shadowheart (who had the 3 gems in her bag) click the Traversal Gem while everyone was standing off the disc. This lit up the purple crystal on the right of the disc and clicking that FINALLY allowed us to descend. Only took like 2 hrs of wandering up and down lol...

I found that one first because I was exploring the upper levels before going down further. Just old habits. Glad you found it.

I had the same problem, but i found a workaround on my save. I walked out of the temple back up to the 1st level (different game cell) and back into the region. it didn't fix the gem immediately but after a moment it became interactible.
