But if you take 1 ending and change 1 thing it counts as a new ending.
So you killled shadowheart?
Ending gets a 1 line change.
You didnt kill shadowheart?
You get a different line.
You made shadowheart a dark justiary?
One line change.
Etc, etc.
17 thousend different endings is very easy if you count single line changes as different endings.
No, there are actually less cutscene variations than there are endings since 2 of the endings share 1 cutscene and another ending doesn't have a cutscene at a all, just a dialogue showcase of Raphael looking into the camera, alone.
So its acceptable.
https://www.reddit.com/r/fnv/comments/nipw31/how_many_unique_combinations_of_ending_slides_are/
Fallout New Vegas's base game has 1,113,652,592,640,000 different endings, not including variants for the Courier's gender. That's one quadrillion, one hundred and thirteen trillion, six hundred and fifty-two billion, five hundred and ninety-two million, six hundred and forty thousand unique endings. Mass Effect 3 eat your heart out, I suppose.
BG3 similarly has many combinations of endings. That said, there are even early endings, like getting Wished out of existence by a god, blowing up Gale in nuclear fashion to save the world, refusing to take a mindflayer's advice and getting brain dominated, and other not so great endings. But there are many combinations to the actual ending too because of who you side with, whether you take the devil's deal, and how you deal with the final villain.
Ding ding ding
You just have to shuffle things around a little bit.
It sure is incredible to cut something so significant which was on top hyped about by devs so short before release.
That really sucks...
Damn...I could understand if a dozen of those or even a 100 were scrapped because they contradicted stuff...but ALL of them?!
