Unfortunately you cannot have her as a companion.
Morgian Aug 22, 2023 @ 8:47am
She isn't a companion, only a story event.

Sadly no. I remember liking her a lot in the EA.

Not only does she not join your party. She could easily been the bard in the group, but they made here not a romance option and that they made her a lesbian for reasons.

I'm convinced Larian made her the NPC to appear as a victim of the Dark Urge because people were:
1) Dying for a Bard companion.
2) People have always liked her.

So they killed two birds with one stone. :P

Nowhere is it stated that Alfria was lesbian. Only that her teacher was also female.

One of her initial phrases is "I am about to meet a grisly death... at the hands of this song". Kinda foreshadowing as it turns out. Not the song part tho...:)

Actually that's kind of genius, I have to say.

Sadly later she is with a girl Lakrissa, if you save the Tieflings from Moonrise Towers

Just a bit to short imo. I mean, i could hardly build up a close connection to her, she joined and died. Thats almost as meaningless as Jackie dying in cyberpunk 2077 after the heist, while all we got to build a connection is a slideshow :>

Well, I think that her being a universally likable character is what they were aiming at in the Dark Urge shocker thing. I might say that this was executed nicely since even though I did not have any knowledge of this being an unavoidable situation and intended to play a reisist urge path, I did not try to reload, because it seemed...fitting for such a playthrough.
To top that It gave me a certain paranoia about who to invite in the camp which lead to Arabella dying in 2nd act due to me not allowing her to go there, lol.
