So a shaped shifted monk wouldn't get any un-armed benefits from using things like claws, bites, etc...
Assuming BG3 follows RAW, then your druid shapeshift attacks are NOT unarmed attacks.
I see an additional + to my damage rolls equal to my form's strength modifier that is untyped in my combat log, so it seems to be working fine, just not notated properly.
baldurs gate 3 forums are full of people confidently exclamingf false information so I understand if your going to take what I say with a grain of salt HOWEVER this is how tavern brawler and wild shape interact
before I begin it is important to clarify that wildshaped attacks are in-fact unarmed attacks
at level 5 a druid will learn wild strike which says "You can make an additional attack after making an unarmed strike while in wildshape" that is the exact wording and thus wildstrike attacks are considered unarmed.
however it is bugged. if you look at the die rolls for your wildshaped attacks it will add the tavern brawler bonus to your hit chance. unfortunately it forgets to add the bonus to damage. this can sometimes happen with monk as well, but its almost if not guaranteed to happen with wildshape. people need to actually try things and look at the die rolls and what they say before posting.
Someone with Tavern brawler on their druid just take a picture of the combat log? Please?
why? evidence is frowned upon on this board. everyone just says stuff they think is true and when shown evidence they ignore it and this topic will just pop up again in a couple days. this is like the 4th that I have personally seen.
I will do that once I have access to my home PC.
