Is The Grym forge Fight Optional

So, I was talking with someone about this fight. I recall trying to go through the forge to get to the underdark, but I can't for the LIFE of me actually remember fighting that thing, even after seeing pictures.

I remember all the boss fights, this is the only one I have ZERO recollection of.

Is is possible to miss this fight?

The boss in the Grym Forge is entirely optional, very worth it though.

I think it's completely optional - if you don't want to use the forge you don't have to fight guardian

skippable but i wouldnt. im still rocking the 3 pieces i got from that encounter, accross 3 different characters. makes 3/4 of my team immune to crits. pretty nice.

OH, maybe that was it. I remember seeing the forge, and not knowing exactly what I am supposed to put in it because I didn't read up on the journals, so I just left.

You can easily move from Grymforge without activating it. The main stuff is related to Nere.

If you haven't forged 1 or 2 adamantine weapons, then you for sure missed it. Don't worry, the rewards aren't THAT amazing.

80% of this game is "optional." You can get by not even engaging in story and just mowing everyone down.
