Maybe talk to withers whether he found a dead dog to resurrect.
I had both Owlbear and Scratch for a good chunk of the game. They become friends.
Until I visited someone, failed a check, and Scratch was locked up.
The key thrown away.
- hit the full spellbook (by default that's "k" IIRC). hit the "common" tab. you should see the summon scratch spell there. just drag it back into your hotbar.
I have a ball in my inventory, but I'm not sure if it was the original one or one I picked up along the way. Was the one Scratch brings you unique in anyway, e.g. called 'Scratch's Ball' or something?
I wish there'd been a cutscene or other event connected to his dissapearance. Then at least I'd have some idea where to go back to in order to search for him. :(
I'm only in Act 2 atm, so it's not tied to anything BG related.
He's not in my camp, nor is the icon to summon him anywhere to be found.
I guess I'll just push on with this playthrough and hope he reappears. Sad that my good hearted paladin won't get to provide the nice companionship to Scratch, seeing as my next PC is going to be a real nasty piece of work.
They better fix this. It happened to me to after the Act III Kennel thing
Doesn't the owl bear cub eat the dog if both are present? Not immediately, I don't think, but eventually?
i had an event that actually made them say that they are friends, so no not nescecarily
It's possible to lose Scratch in act 3 if you go into a certain yard in the village outside BG, if you choose the wrong dialog options and do poorly on your rolls when conversing. Is this a possibility? If so, maybe test it by reloading a save to earlier in act 3.
Any ideas?
Need's to specifically be an item called "Scratche's Ball" to regain his summon.
