FKing hate the Dark Urge SPOILERS
SPOILERS SPOILER SPOILERS SPOILERS

Ok so, we are forced to murder the bard Teifling, ok w/e. Act 2 rolls around, been playing a DU trying to get redeemed.

The quest, to rescue the Teiflings, is dependent on the bard being ALIVE! As the quest giver, since she isnt, you find ALL THE TEIFLINGS! All of them DEAD, off screen dead, whole wipe, no survivors. No Mission for the rescue, the mission for Karlach needs Dammon, guess what? dead off screen. It's a forced decision that leads to a later acts FORCED failure and a cut in a companions side-arc. ♥♥♥♥ that, wth Larian, taking away ALL agency that matters for playing a lore character? WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥! Well I lost motivation to keep playing. All this inventory , side quest, and affection time investment only to get a huge ♥♥♥♥ taken on my game.

Duuuude. The Dark Urge is meant to be the evil option. Of course there's consequences. And so what if the Teiflings die. I usually kill them anyway. Karlach lasts just as long regardless.

That's not true. Good Dark Urge which fights the Urge is much better route with more options and overall more interesting. All evil routes are less flashed out and less engaging, missing out on too much content. Alfira is actually the only one you can't save, she's a lesson for you what Urge is. From now you can fight it, quite successfully and very satisfactory. Tieflings should not be affected by her murdered by Urge, there is something else in play, or maybe it's one more of numerous bugs.

honestly if you want max content even WITH an evil urge... resist till act 3 and then submit it's a much better Evil ending with both the act 2 and 3 companions in your party (but if you embrace the urge in act 2 you can't get that)

evil urge is fine.. but "Attempted redemption only to fall" urge is 100000x better just for having J and M

Yeah, I felt the same OP. But I messed around in the game long enough to 'fix' it.

Also I...*think*, am not 100% sure, that in order to get the Tieflings alive, you had to convince the Tiefling mage to stick around the grove and not run away. ...What's his name, Kanon?

you can literally save her and she shows up later in the last light inn and even gives you quest rewards after being reunited with a character.

Rolan the wizard, Kanon gets sniped by a goblin when you approach the grove

Yea I heard about it after I was done with my run, I think it today actually, but that's some kind of next level starts, normally player wouldn't go for such lengths without knowing beforehand that it's possible from some kind of guide or youtube video. But cool that this option exists.

Rolan, thanks. In Act 2 the Tieflings all say he saved all of them. I haven't gone through myself to see if he is indeed the trigger for all the tieflings surviving...That'd...kinda suck if true...But I do have Alfira alive on my redemption Durge run.

i did it on accident, lol. i wanted to kill her outside of the typical camp scene to see what happens, but i forgot to turn off the knockout option and went to sleep to find her later in the inn, lol.
That'd...kinda suck if true...

Now speak, what have you done to him :cozykcdaxe:
Dark Urge is literally all about being an evil bastard with, well, a dark urge.
You are literally playing as a serial killer who is also the child of the god of murder. Were you expecting something labeled The Dark Urge to be all smiles and sunshine?

....Que? I just...convinced him and his siblings to stay in the grove...?

you the option to be one, thankfully you can redeem yourself. i literally can't play with the boring ass normal TAV anymore, less options and less intergration into the story. straight downgrade.
