(SPOILERS) There is a way to save Karlach

I've read time and time again that there is no way or happy ending for Karlach. BUT, I just finished my game and found a way that Karlach might live and might find a way to cure herself. It seems that if Wyll becomes the blade of avernus she can take Karlach to avernus and save her from exploding. So if you want to save Karlach withouth transforming her into a Mindflayer you could try this alternative for her.

I mean yeah, she's fine if she goes back to the Hells. The problem is that she doesn't want to be there. You can either send Wyll with her or go with her yourself if you're romancing her, but it doesn't seem like a happy ending if she has to stay somewhere she said several times she doesn't want to be, lol.

What a waste of time posting this thread. Karlarch has spent the ENTIRE GAME saying she rather die than go back to the hells. Who cares if she lives if she just have to go back to hell. the only semi happy ending for Karlach is romancing her and going to the hells with her. Other than that its already been proven that Larian cut the content for her to get her engine fixed.

She can also turn into the Mind Flayer that defeats the Elder Brain. She retains her identity and is "cured" from her infernal engine. Not an ideal outcome, but it felt better to me than having her live in the hells.

The most you can hope for with Karlach is if you didn't romance her and you got both upgrades - then the game ends with no mention of Karlach so she might be alive.

I read that it's cut content that was linked to the upper city that was cut too.

Forcing Karlach to return to Avernus is not a happy ending. Karlach does NOT want to return to hell.

Each time she gets vaporized by her Engine going ham

There's even a scene that if you din't upgrade the engine and din't romance her, the party simply turns around walks a few feets then your character notices some dust/ashes flying by and then Wyll turns around and ask where Karlach is, and she is nowhere.

Not only did she die, she died while NO ONE NOTICED.

The 2-3 only endings where she survives are these:

-1 She turns into a Mindflayer, but since they don't have souls, her persona slowly vanishes, leaving only the Mindflayer behind.

-2 She is turned into a Thrall if you decide to Enlsave the Elderbrain and become its New Master, wich somehow trumps all other endings, since you don't see her becoming a puff of smoke, maybe you use the Elderbrain's powers to stop the Engine?

-3 Wyll go into Avernus with her, yes, she goes back to the place she said the whole game that she doesn't want to go to, but guess what, we all do things we don't want to, i Don't want to get up everyday of my life and work so that i can pay taxes till i'm 65, still has to do it.

OP what you described is one of her fail state endings, the "good" ending was cut last minute because it relied on the Upper City which was also cut due to who-♥♥♥♥♥♥-knows despite Larian promising it less than 2 weeks before launch.

on some discuss with her, she notice if i have a "wish" spell ... if i'm correct its a Djinn spell.
maybe some trick witht the djinn encounter somewhere (not the djinn of circle, the other one :p)

Becoming Mind Flayer makes you slowly lose your identity.

You need to eat brains to survive, the more brains you eat, the more your consicousness becomes hivemind-ish. Eventually you'll completely lose yourself and become just like any other mindflayer.
