Creatures with fly can be pushed into chasms.
Pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to work.

I think we don't play the same game because everytime I push a creature into a chasm, they come back at their previous position and didn't get any fall damage

They should pop right back up after you push them though. At least that's what it did for me when I did it to an imp and when I pushed a sahuagin into the ocean it popped right back up where it was.

Oddly enough, that is actually the rules in d&d. If a flying creatures is knocked 'prone' they fall out of the sky. It doesn't apply to magical flight though.

If you push the water/fish people into water this happens, and it kinda makes sense imo

A Goblin just casually pushed my polymorphed Druid into a chasm.

Then that goblin beat your strength check or used a knockback attack...

Yeah that really annoys me. I had fly on my main character and he fell to his death. Yet NPCs just magically reappear where they were pushed from...

i had a similar thought but then i realized they can't fly out since it's not their turn ;)

maybe they'd react more appropriately if it wasnt turn based.

they are always flying off the ground in their animations, and if you had wings wouldn’t you fly if someone pushed you into a chasm?

No ♥♥♥♥ sherlock. Trying to say it made no sense on a flying creature. Magic or grapple? Sure. grapple isn’t a thing and the gobbo didn’t use magic
