Monk class not available

Hi everyone! I don't know if this was an intentional part of the game, but the Monk class isn't available to me at the character creation page. I just purchased BG3 on August 17th, and it *should* be the final release version, but when I started the game, it said "early release".

That "early release" tag no longer shows up (it's currently showing version 4.1.1.2154614) but I also don't see the monk class available. Does anyone else have this issue?

Verify your gamefiles then reload the game...

Monk should 100% be available at the start...

Hey, dustin1280, thanks for the response. Can you be more specific about verifying the gamefiles? I'm in the Installation folder now, but not sure what I should be seeing that I need to verify.

You need to check your file integrity through steam not your file system. Basically you need to manage the properties of your game and look for the check file integrity option. Sorry I can't be more specific but I'm not on a mac or I'd say exactly how to get there...

Isn't Mac still early access? Or did I miss the announcement where they released it?

I just received an email from Larian support that says "Currently Baldur's Gate 3 is only available in Early Access for Mac users"... but there was no indication that it was early access before purchasing. What a waste.

Yeah, Mac is still early access and I didn't know. I'm an ultra-casual gamer — literally the last game I played before I downloaded Salt and Sancutary was Neverwinter Nights 2 over a decade ago — so when I saw that BG3 was final, I downloaded it.

There's no indication on the Steam product pages or BG3 home page that the Mac version isn't available. Oh well, live and learn
