Other than that, 5e ruleset does have some rules for PC crafting, but honestly, with the ammount of magic items the game offers on basic gameplay, crafting is just a waste of resoruces to be added into the game.
And as far as i know, 5e, which is the ruleset BG3 is based on, only allows forging of basic and magical items by playable characters, unique gear like rare and legendaries cannot be crafted by players, which is another argument on why it is a waste of time and resource to add such a feature on BG3. Lets say you would only be able to craft a Sword +1 in this exemple, which is crazy abudantly available as loot on the game.
