Where's The Owlbear Cub?

Apparently it was supposed to be at the Goblin Camp and being attacked by them, but by the time I found the cub in the nest, the Goblin Camp was just hostile to me since I had killed the leaders, I never got the event.

If anyone is searching on this, the cub does show up, but it does indeed take several long rests, and will show up while you are sleeping with a sleep interruption cut scene. I was in the underdark when it arrived.

Did you long rest 10+ times? might be a bug if so.

I killed the mom and later found the cub in the Goblin Camp.

You don't even have to kill the mom and it will still show up.

I passed the checks to talk the mom out of attacking and still have the Owlbear cub in my camp.

Well you need to come to the cave again and see that the goblins killed the mom instead of you.

Did a few experiments. It turned out that if you roaring on owlbear mother, everything turns out literally after one long rest. Everything works correctly. After long rest around the corpses of goblins, and the cub is stolen and then will be in the goblin camp. However, if you choose the option to use the speak animal potion, and then ask about the fragment of the spear and choose the ranger's answer that he made a mistake and did not want to disturb in order to solve the matter peacefully, the trigger breaks. And it doesn't matter whether you provoke the mother to fight later or not, the goblins will never come into the cave and steal the cub. Or a pair will forever remain in the cave. Or the cub will endlessly eating his mother. It turns out that this branch is bugged. Maybe some other branches of dialogue with owlbear mother also broken.

i long rested a LOT and it didn't show up until my 3rd LR in act 3.

that seems like a bit.... i don't think i'll be giving a damn when i play my tactician playthrough, 80 supplies a night is a bit costly for a cub

I think if you killed the mother owlbear it won't show up in camp.

Killing the mother is fine. It starts eating her when you leave the cave. But it showed up very late in my camp after finding it again in the goblin ruin. Still, it transformed between my last camp and the final fight into a full-size armored owlbear :)
