Report a translation problem
If you have Gale at Balth's work bench (or maybe a good Arcana roll if you are a caster type) it would seem Balth had succeeded in making use of the dead pixies as Gale thinks he can make a lantern using the table and a dead pixie. He also thinks Mystra would disapprove so he is reluctant. I don't know if he can actually do it as I choose to let him dispell the circle on the table.
Namely: can't get the pixie, thus gotta permanently sacrifice an offhand slot. Party can't be too far apart, making any "melee go ahead, range stay behind and hide" strat worthless.
Not to mention that you then have the drider as part of the Kethric fight later. It's just a bit messy.
