I just want people to bring something tangible when it come to claims of cut content. If you regard tidbits of text lines here and there that is commented out in the code as cut content. Then please consider BG1 and BG2 had way more than BG3 in that regard. Still it isn't something that can get flipped on like a switch and you got more content.
Guess I'm rather simple... When someone claim "this content was cut".. I ask them "show me where the cut content is?", and if all they can provide is 2 lines of text... I don't bite.
The only "cut content" that been worth the while is the Withers epilogues, because that is actual created content.
It's not like the cutting floor of a movie. Because then you cut away already made content, and can re-edit and release longer versions later if desired. Take the movie "Once uppon a time in America" directed by Sergio Leone. They had like 9-10 hours of footage. The release version boiled down to 139 minutes, then a 269 minute version got released, and yet another 220 minute one. Even with the longest versions there is several hours of footage cut away.
It doesn't matter how much that dude is looking at the files, if people doesn't believe him finding nothing that back up their claims. And none of these again can provide actual source of cut content (other than "oh look at the links"). Then you really at an impasse...
Vids: ai voice generated.
Tons of hotfixes: as intended.
I dOne mY own rESeArch guy: source trust me bro. (link to wiki)
I dunno, In my game, Wyll broke his contract, saved his father, and become "The Infernal Blade". He was going to spend time kicking butt in Avernus anyway, so he offered to drag Karlach along and protect her from Zariel until they could get her engine permanently repaired or replaced.
Seemed pretty good to me.
That part of the updated ending to Karlach that Larian made after release. Still it wasn't happy enough for people.
You kinda described how to move around in Baldurs Gate (the city), in BG1....
It's not about being good or bad, it felt rushed and incomplete. You have all this infernal iron and... nothing to do with it. There is a bit of stray dialog here and there about fixing her engine that goes nowhere. The ending they patched in was better than nothing, but still felt sort of tacked on. Once you kill Gortash her story basically ends, despite dealing with Raphael, Mizora, Helsik, Yurgir, going to Avernus, etc...
Also left city, right city, west city, and kitty city (filled with Tabaxi)
The cut Withers epilogues, Minthara's pregnancy, Shar and Dead Three clerics, Helia, Voice of Bane, The Nautiloid, and potentially Act 1 Minsc are all true. The others are varying levels of unsourced speculation to outright wrong. Jaheira for example OUTRIGHT tells us why there's no romance when we talk to her about her husband's gift, in her old age she just wants to think about him and her family. There was a reference in the files to a Jaheira camp romance scene, but there was also a reference to a Minsc one, and that man is not cognitive enough for that. There's an entire Banite dungeon in the Steel Watcher factory stuffed with Banites. There's no narrative divide between the Dead Three aspect and the Mindflayers aspect unless you're not paying attention.
See the mistake you made there was trusting something some random person posts on the internet. The time to believe a contentious claim is when significant evidence is offered in support of it, not just when you read it and think it maybe sounds plausible. You can read through this very post and find multiple instances where the OP has straight up lied or made stuff up about other posters. These are blatant demonstrations of the lack of trustworthiness of the OP. But even without that believing something like this without actually reviewing and confirming the claimed evidence for yourself is a sure way to be taken in by charlatans.
Larian are obviously going to try to frame things in a positive light, but they're unlikely to straight up lie about something like this because there is little to gain (as everyone understands content gets cut) and a lot to lose if caught out in that lie. We're talking about a company that has gone way above and beyond in its communication with and involvement of the community.
This disappointment prompted me personally to remember everything Larian promised. And see old datamine EA videos.
Okay, we often talk about exploring the upper city.
There is СU 19, but there is also СU or interview in which it is also written that BG3 is 3 large districts/regions connected by load. Yes, you can say that the sewerage is an region, but it is tied to the lower city. Rivington and Lower Town are 2 regions.
To be honest, the absence of the upper city somewhat shocked me. I could have put up with a lot. Even with the lack of a normal history of Cazador and Gur.
Although no. The Hag Coven is still hanging around in the game and I wanted to see them. And the hunter said that he did not know Cazador and mentioned Maiden Fel. Damn I wanted to see her.
And they never told me why the Gurs attacked Astarion, why Cazador found him. After all, there are hints in the game that this will be revealed.
Emperor. With him, nothing matters at all. We revealed his identity or slept with him. His behavior doesn't change. It's just that in both cases everything is fine.
Why didn't Larian cut out Yenna?
Her mother contracted the plague. But the disease was cut from the game.
