To take the sylvanas statue without making all the druids want to kill you? I haven't been able to steal it without aggroing every druid.

Is it possible to give her a forgery? A different statue? Or to steal it without everyone trying to kill you?

Maybe there's another quest you should do first.

Interesting, I have an idea of what it MIGHT be, since I've never quite resolved that one separately from rescuing halsin and just saying "Oh by the way... about Kagha..."

I'll try to do that BEFORE rescuing halsin next time

To do Mol quest is to be on your best behavior with her and save both Mirkon and side with pickpocket thief, Arrabela, and the urchin who tries to pickpocket you.
And if you don't do it, it seems Arrabela steals the idol and becomes in act 2 a druid.

make sure to finish "investigate Kagha" for safe stealing IDOL without town's civil war. that quest make druid ritual quitting and less-vigilent

Now I did this in ea, but cast fog cloud over statue, then you can sneak in and steal it without getting caught. I also did this after Kaga was dead. As someone pointed out could lead to towns civil war.
