Well humor subjective, so I'm glad over 100 hours of playtime resulting in a lazy quest reward is humorous to you. I would've appreciated the bare minimum of effort from the devs for this, but what can you do.
It's not lazy, it's just a joke you don't like. I think it's a clever joke and enjoy it.

Yeah, no dude. You can't just make someone do all this and then go "It's just a joke bro". That's just dumb.
