Cloudkill & Sculpt Spell
Sculpt spell seem to have zero effect on Cloudkill damage. I've had a read of the 5E spell descriptor and I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

Anyone know if it's acting as it should or if the devs dropped the ball on this one?

What is Sculpt supposed to do, and did you use the original caster to "replace" the Cloudkill cast after it was sculpted?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Sculpt Spell only applies on Evocation spells, Cloudkill is Conjuration, so if it isn't applying, then its working as intended.

Sadly the way it works in game is that it only conciders "friendly" targets when you cast the spell, if it's a lingering aoe it becomes a world effect and will hurt everyone (and the DC becomes ~12)
Also sculpt spell only works on your companions from what I've seen - other neutral/friendly targets are hit with impudence

This is the correct answer.
