For those on the fence about the Woke stuff...

For the few people that's on the fence about the game and how bad the push for diversity and "woke" ideologies are this youtube video by Synthetic Man might be of help.

He does like the game overall. I transcribed one section of the video here if you just quickly want to scan read what he says. I also edited the text a bit so it's more readable.

I don't own the game (obviously) but this helped me a lot.

I think it's finally time for the part of the video that all of you have been waiting for let's talk about all of the various woke and cringe moments throughout the game.

There are some people that will honestly try to tell you that this game is not woke. Those people have no idea what woke means. I already talked about this in my escapism is dead video to put it shortly woke is referring to cultural Marxism or intersectional feminism or Progressive ideology - any of those things. Woke does not mean that it's so utterly repulsive and disgusting that I don't like it right people think something has to be as Extreme as Velma to be woke. That's not what woke means. Woke just means any left-wing propaganda is in it. So, anyway, let's get to my long list of woke and cringe moments from this game...

Now some of these things I covered earlier in the video. I'll just bring them up again briefly but I wanted to have everything in one section so that you could be able to determine whether or not you could tolerate buying this product.

Once again bring up the Character Creator just to remind you the default human character is a black woman you can choose your pronouns including non-binary body type 1 the default is female and you have to change it to be a male you can make a trans character which means putting a penis on a female body or a vagina on a male body.

Now moving on to the companions everybody in this game is horny as ♥♥♥♥. Larian straight up lied to you when they said that their companion romance system was complex and wasn't just agreeing with them and giving them approval points. Wrong. They lied. That's exactly what it is all you have to do is say things that they agree with and then they want to have sex with you within the first five hours of the game. And when I say everyone I mean everyone including all of the male characters which is especially egregious for Gail, who talks about two other women (that he was in love with in the past) with you and does not show any interest in men. And yet he has multiple gay scenes throughout the game and for some reason, even if you don't bring him in your party, he still gives you these scenes at specific moments - if you rested the camp enough/

Most straight men will admit that they do not like being hit on by a gay man so why the hell are you doing this in our Escape/Fantasy. The worst part of most of these scenes is that over half of your dialogue options are variations of your character hitting on the other characters. It does not account for your gender or sexual preferences since it's not even an option in the game and so it's hard to actually not be gay if you're talking to the male companions.

And of course I have to bring it up for the third time... that the Druid Halsin which you rescue near the end of act one can have sex with you in Bear form again. I don't even need to talk about this. Any normal person knows how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that is do I really need to talk about how bad beastiality is?

Now moving on to the world itself. Like I said it is extremely diverse. Cartoonishly diverse. Not only are gonna see all the different players species living together in harmony with no significant racial differences. Except the Githyanki. They're the one Foreigner race that's actually allowed to act differently because they're from a different plane of existence. But also all of these races have several different skin tones in the same geographical area. And different phenotypes too. It wasn't just "oh this guy got a tan". No. They're straight up black elves black dwarves etc. And the tieflings, despite being infused with devil blood, are totally normal people. Definitely not evil in any way. Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me!

This might be one of the more transparent pieces of propaganda in this game especially since they are Asylum seeking refugees who invaded someone else's town and just squatted there and brought crime though in the form of goblins raiding the camp. There are so many interpretations you can have of the tieflings and I think if I explain any of them I'm probably going to be banned from YouTube.

Okay moving on to the next piece of wokeness men and women in this game are treated exactly the same. Now I know some of you out there don't don't think that that's woke like when I've tried to say in the past at least on streams that Fallout New Vegas is like a Proto-Woke game essentially. That's how I described it despite it being one of my favorite games of all time. The NCR's military being half female is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid it's ridiculous and makes no sense in a post-apocalypse scenario and it really should be immersion breaking but considering almost nobody talks about it it isn't. But let me just tell you I don't like when fictional settings treat men and women exactly the same with no differences. It essentially just means that women act like men. That's what it means. There's no feminine women anywhere to be seen and that was definitely true of New Vegas and it's true of this game as well.

A great example is the Flaming fist which is a band of mercenaries that are also the guards in Baldur's Gate. When you visit their headquarters, which is on fire after a Goblin Raid, almost every NPC that there is is a woman. In a various different ethnicities too. It almost looks cartoonish. Immediately after that you meet some gith Yankees with one riding a dragon. The Flaming fists there too are incredibly diverse as well. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Does this really not look ridiculous to anybody else what woman would willingly risk her life every day for pennies. Because that's what being a mercenary is. You go out and you kill monsters or people. And like I said, Baldur's Gate is supposed to be a crime heavy City and the guards are supposed to be corrupt. Does that sound like a job a woman would take up willingly?! But again there's no differences between men and women. This another good example: to bring up your party again is that all the female characters are martial classes except Shadow heart who can go into melee when she needs to. While all the men are predominantly casters so the women are the physically strong characters and The Men men are the Mages. Definitely not subversion guys. LOL

Once you get to act three and finally reach the city of Baldur's Gate you are met with a drag queen. Yes, an actual drag queen in Dungeons and Dragons. Not too long afterward you reach a brothel and the first woman you talk to inside insinuates that you want to be pegged and whipped by a dwarf woman. There's also a couple drow twins inside. The male one is a stereotypical drow into BDSM ♥♥♥♥ but the female one won't even have sex with you. It's basically a girlfriend experience combined with like ASMR type of ♥♥♥♥. Which in gameplay terms means it's a black screen. I'm not [ __ ] joking. And man the hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper. A couple hours later and this is a spoiler ... The Illithid who you allied with earlier in the game also wants to have sex with you these guys don't even have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genitals. So I guess it's straight up brain sex out of Demolition Man. I don't know. I didn't click the option.

I think some people are going to claim I'm exaggerating when I say this but I think this might just be the most gay non-pornographic game that has ever been made. Truly modern gaming never ceases to amaze me. The funny thing is originally at the end of the section I said well it's not actually that woke in the grand scheme of things because the game is over 40 hours and so the contents spread kind of thin but on honestly, the more I played to the game the more ridiculous and over the top and just straight up degenerate the game becomes. It is kind of annoying and it does sour the experience. I know people are claiming that half of this is supposed to be funny and I don't have a single doubt in my mind that women do find some of these scenes funny. But for the most part it just is straight up degeneracy and it's kind of disturbing.

Look, I'm not gonna push to ban any of this stuff honestly I don't believe in censorship but I do think it's truly telling that we're not allowed to have big titties or big asses or even just model tier attractive women. You know, how they used to make female characters 20 years ago. Art is supposed to be beautiful. But disturbing furry stuff and LGBT stuff? Oh yeah, that's totally kosher.

I was not joking when I said in the beginning that this game is not made for me or any of my fans but again it is a testament to how much I enjoy the fantasy genre that I still ended up liking this game at the end.

They either correctly believe that anybody seeing "woke"ness in the game is a moron, or have already decided that the game is a woke demon made by satanists who want to enslave you and force you to work in the lipstick mines for not being black.

Some ppl use woke for anything they dislike that is true. But it has become a much more widespread phenomenon for a lot of superficial "inclusion", race-swapping historical characters, anti-racism that says some of the most racist things possible, judging ppl on aspects that ten years ago we'd kind of agreed weren't important etc.

Very good post. I also recommend watching Synthetic Man's "Immersion is DEAD": it's basically an excellent review of BG3's woke content.

This guy is basically one of the extremely few influencers who are calling out the gay content in BG3: ain't that pretty when all the other reviewers "don't think it is important" to mention it? I mean, sure, being inclusive is nice, but don't any of the reviewers/influencers think it is important to let people know of this? Maybe because SOME people care about this issue? Especially those who never wander the forums and who only rely on reviews.

It kinda sad to judge games only by wokeness than classics like game play, mechanics, graphics, music, bugs and more. I never seen a game rated by wokeness on no gaming magazine or site.

Maybe the salty people should start a woke site as RPG vets can laugh about the politics in them. Think if classics like Final Fantasy Seven dropped today that have a clear anti corporate theme or the endless other that you pick a faction and fight the others off for control. I not to sure it crpgs and MMORPGs with just one race either hmmm. well goodluck!
