Myshka is my son, why can I not take him home? (Light Spoilers for the city, but only about a cat)

I met a cat in the streets of Baldur's Gate next to the Wine Festival (Cora's house). His name is Myshka and he is my son. He speaks a feline dialect called 'Mriaer' and I love him. Why can I not take him back to camp? Please. I want my son to make friends with Scratch and Grub and the Owlbear baby.

I recall the half orc muscle outside the Elfsong wanted to play with the cats, so I tried to leading myshka up to the elfsong, by coming back and getting mermer! each time, but after a try I googled and left this.

My headcanon is Myshka has a family of his own to care for and shouldn't be uprooted, but that'll last exactly until bringing him to camp gets patched/modded in.

I figured you could lead him somewhere and reunite him with the mother cat, or at least someone else more capable of looking after him. After Grub got turned into a shish kebab I don't think camp is the safest place, and this poor fellow got obliterated by a Steel Watcher

Ought to be somewhere we can send this cat.

Hey you know what else sucks? There's a cat in Act II which mentions wanting milk, but I tried dropping milk near it, even milk in a bowl that I found I think, and he didn't drink it. What a failure in game design! Especially after you can feed Buddy in DoS2. 1/10 would not play again.

There is an option to give Myshka and other cats a home at Apothecary's house, a lady who you've met in the Underdark, if you didn't save Baelin, her husband, or if you given him a cure.

Myshka stole my heart, since I met him (I actually want to use "her", because "Myshka" is a female mouse in Russian and some other related languages) I keep "MERMER"-ing to my cat xD

I thought he is "Мишка" not "мышка".
