Forced gay character because Gale
I don’t get it. I thought we were just talking now I’m getting forced into dialogue by Gale.

I kill Astarion on sight (I ambush him while he's yelling at a pig) because he's a monster. Yeah, I'm using metaknowledge, but I just don't want to click through his nonsense any more. It's easier just to kill him and Shadowcute doesn't seem to care.

I leave Gale in his portal, for all eternity for all I care.

I really get a kick taking shots at Lae'zel in her little cage until she's dead, especially because I make sure to loot her on the nautiloid before connecting the transistors, so she can't even drink a potion or shoot back. Literally shooting fish in a barrel. Hilarious.

I ignore Wyll at the camp, and I do my best to ignore Halsin if I can, too (we really should be able to recruit Kagha).

The next companion I'm interested in is Minthara. I'm trying to figure out how to recruit her without destroying the grove...not because I give a damn about the foulblood "refugees", but because I just don't want to go through all that BS. After helping Kagha seal the place up, I'm pretty much done with it and want to move on.

I recruited Karlach once...and she's alright, but not really my jam. She's too bubbly. Too effervescent.

So, after Shadowheart and Minthara, that only leaves Jaheira . Not sure if I can get those three to all stay in my party at the same time, but I'm hoping I can do both Shadowheart's and Minthara's redemption arcs so Jaheira will accept them.

And then I can respec them to whatever I need them to be.

The point I'm getting at is you don't need Gale. Just pick a different character and make them a Wizard if it's that important to you.

I'm even considering using respec for every hard encounter to create the perfectly optimized party that steamrolls it. It only costs a couple hundred gold.

I HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM TOO BUT I FOUND A WONDERFUL SOLUTION at the end of Act 2...

Act 2/ Dark Urge Spoiler basically sacrificed him to my Dark Urge character instead of killing Isobel, and got the Bhaal Slayer form

F**k you Gale for forcing me into a gay relationship I never asked for just cause I was being nice. Effing guy made me miss out on Act 1 romance scenes with Shadowheart. Gale got what he deserved in my play through. Thank f*** for Dark Urge, or else I would've hated the rest of the forced gay relationship in the playthrough, theres not even any option to end a romance with him like you see with Karlach, etc.

Yeah Gale is a bit pushy in that some responses to him don't have any innuendo, but lead to almost making out *and* there's been a bugged thing with him for a while now. Sort of a self-initiating a romance. Like you can ignore him all the way up until the third act, and upon reaching that act: good chance your MC will think they slept with Gale regardless of gender or other romances.

It's funny too because it's been reported so many times, have experienced it myself and watched my friends stream as they got the same bugged Gale advances: Yet still the people reporting it often get (a few) serious replies calling them homophobic, or implying that they can't navigate 'oBvIoUs' flirting because it didn't happen to *them.* Even people essentially being like "there's no bug, you're just trash"

So... be ready for those :P

If you did the magic stuff with him then I think you will always get the option to ask about that night you spent together or something along those lines.. just ignore it.

You know, it doesn't even make sense. He goes on about how he wants to prove himself to the woman he was sleeping with (no spoilers). Given the way he presented his back story, you would think, logically, he wouldn't be up for screwing anyone else, male or female.

Exactly. I was just being a nice comrade in arms, and suddenly he wanted to show me a magic secret. I said, cool! Then I talked to Astarion and he said something about something and my 3 options were essentially the same. The middle was “it’s just sex”. I had 0 options and nobody was talking about anal, last I checked. I avoided anal rape, for now, but it seems like my character is locked in gay and Shadowheart’s locked out? The ♥♥♥♥!? I vote no on prop 8. 🍆🍑

It’s jarring. I don’t think sexuality should be all over the place, it’s unrealistic. It shouldn’t be emergent like that, because it’s not like that in real life. It would be better if I they made orientation a character creation option. So I can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ high five Gale after getting a female character in bed. Instead of seeing my guy give creepy sexual smiles after what I thought was a regular, hetero, cheeky response. Not that I want sex in the game, it’s just if it’s there I’ll let my character get some satisfaction if the RP is good.
